Our Leicester City fans here in the Transfer Tavern are eager to see last minute signings but, according to Corriere dello Sport (via football-italia,) their bid for Wesley Hoedt has been rejected.
The less said about the Foxes’ season this year the better is the feeling many of our local Leicester fans have right now after a campaign of polar opposites compared with 2015/16.
The men from the King Power Stadium have been lacklustre and without desire leaving them right in the relegation battle at the moment.
New signings could be crucial, then, but it appears they’ll have to up the stakes if they are to bring in defender Hoedt.
The Lazio man has reportedly had a £9 million bid for his services rejected by his club and so this transfer battle could run up until the deadline.
There’s not long to go now, either, with the deadline tomorrow and so our landlord reckons if the current Premier League champions want to get the young Dutchman in, they’d better act swiftly and decisively.
Is Hoedt the right man to go after, Leicester fans? Let us know below!
