Leicester would improve their right-back position massively with £10.8m-rated German

The Leicester fans in the Transfer Tavern are disappointed that their team’s form has dropped off so much and therefore hope to be introduced with some influential summer signings.

The Foxes haven’t been anywhere near their best as of late and although Jamie Vardy continues to provide the goal-threat, Leicester have been rather tame in recent performances. Claude Puel is a very capable manager and given the correct resources, Leicester could have a successful season next year.

A good way to increase their threat going forward would be to bring in Mitchell Weiser, an explosive German right-back valued at £10.80 million on Transfermarkt. The 24-year-old has the ability to play as a right-back normally but also can be deployed as a winger on the right-hand side.

Leicester’s Danny Simpson is a solid defender but Weiser would give the Foxes a lot more going forward in assisting attacks. The Hertha Berlin man has made 31 appearances so far this season, scoring 2 goals and assisting 2 goals for his team-mates. The Foxes have the core making of a very strong outfit for the Premier League and with all the money going into the English clubs, Leicester must spend to keep up with everyone surrounding them.

Of course, they must be efficient with their spending and the German right-back would be a quality and much-needed attention at the King Power Stadium.

Landlord’s Verdict:

Danny Simpson, along with other Leicester defenders are rather average and if the Foxes are seriously targeting European football next year, a player such as Mitchell Weiser could go a long way in making Leicester seem a more threatening team to play against.
