Our Leicester City fans are desperate to see some signings today but, as quoted by The Leicester Mercury, Aitor Karanka has revealed Gaston Ramirez will not be leaving Middlesbrough.
Boro’s Spanish manager said:
“There has not been another bid, I don’t care.
“He [Ramirez] will be here at the end of January – 100 per cent.”
The Riverside club and the current Premier League champions are both looking to move away from the bottom three at the moment and so that may be part of the reason why Ramirez is not going.
It would make sense, too, as the forward does have the ability to make a difference when on form and so Boro would not want him to help out the ailing champs.
Leicester have had a ridiculously poor season this year when you consider their feats of 2015/16 and with the Champions League set to return in the next few weeks, they’re bound to want to get more players in.
They’ll have to act quick, though, as there is only hours left in the market.
