Leicester City are supposedly targeting Almamy Toure if they fail to sign Marseille’s Bouna Sarr, much to the delight of the Foxes propping up the bar here in the Transfer Tavern.
According to the Leicester Mercury, the Foxes will target 21-year-old defender, Almamy Toure, from Monaco if they fail to sign Marseille’s Bouna Sarr in the January transfer window. Claude Puel’s hopes of signing Sarr deteriorated this week, following comments from Marseille’s manager, Rudi Garcia, stating that Sarr will remain with the French club at the end of the transfer window.
It is now believed that the former Premier League champions are prepared to pursue Monaco’s second choice right-back, Almamy Toure.
While these names may be unfamiliar to our resident Leicester supporters in the Transfer Tavern, Claude Puel demonstrates excellent knowledge of Ligue 1.
At the age of 21, Toure exhibits great potential, and he’s highly regarded for his ability to dictate aerial duels, in addition to his eagerness to cross the ball. He would be an excellent addition to Puel’s team.
