Leicester City fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are pleased to see that N’Golo Kante is the sole superstar to make tracks from the King Power this summer, but are worried about the uncertainty around Riyad Mahrez’s position with the club next season.
Still, fans have been given an extra boost as The Sun reports today that manager Claudio Ranieri has been given a blank chequebook over this summers transfer hunt.
“Our chairman is ready to buy what I want, or what I need”, said the Tinkerman.
“We are always looking as it is important to know what is happening around the world.
“I am very happy. I think everybody is happy here and we stay well together. I have said this many times.”
Polish Euros star Bartosz Kapustka is now expected to the Foxes’ fifth summer arrival. The 19 year-old winger is set to undergo a medical this week ahead of a £7.4m move from Cracovia to the East Midlands.
As the Foxes gear up for a venture into the Champions League, the Premier League champions will have the go ahead to compete with their competitors in the market this summer.
They have already twice broken their transfer records for the likes of Ahmed Musa and Nampalys Mendy, though have lost N’Golo Kante.
