Leicester City fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have been praising the influence of their main man, Jamie Vardy, in England’s European Championship fixture against Wales yesterday, but are breifly turning their attention to some news disclosed by The Leicester Mercury.
It is understood that Gokhan Inler’s representatives will undergo talks with the Foxes hierarchy over the coming weeks to discuss his future with the club.
In the wake of the departure of Esteban Cambiasso last summer, the then-Napoli man was brought to the King Power Stadium as somewhat of a coup.
However, the Swiss international made just 10 appearances for the English champions in all competitions last season, making a meagre five in the league.
It was the lowest amount he could have made to have been awarded a league winners’ medal and missed out on a place in the Switzerland squad for Euro 2016.
Danny Drinkwater, N’Golo Kante and Andy King have all established themselves as more important names in the squad then the former Schalke man who has now turned 31.
Should Inler be kept on at Leicester? Especially if Kante leaves?
