The Foxes have started their Premier League campaign, with their new signings especially showing great promise of what’s to come from them.
Claude Puel has ended doubts about him as manager thus far with a strong start to the season, helped by the influential play of a number of new signings. Leicester ended the season in 9th place last season and so far their form suggests that they have the potential to surpass that finish and challenge for European football.
That ambition has been made a lot easier on paper by their new signings, who look to have already made a big impact in taking Leicester City in the right direction. In particular, deadline day arrival Caglar Soyuncu could be a brilliant addition at the King Power Stadium seeing as his reputation already proceeds him.
The 22-year-old, (who is valued at £16.2 million on Transfermarkt) made 30 appearances for Bundesliga side Freiburg and earned himself a move to Leicester following his great performances in those matches. The Turkish international has had a fast-paced rise to the top but he already seems ready to be a regular at Leicester, possibly in the place of fellow new signing Jonny Evans, who only just joined this summer as well.
Evans has started the season as partner to Harry Maguire but that back-line could be tested by the new arrival of Caglar Soyuncu. The former West Brom man was one of their best players last season but after the club got relegated, Evans eyed a Premier League return and got it with Leicester.
Soyuncu at 22-years-old could be the future of Leicester’s defence alongside Harry Maguire but it’s safe to say that the Foxes have great options all over the pitch now.
