The Watford fans in the Transfer Tavern are surprised by the rumours that Walter Mazzarri could get the sack this summer.
They argue that stability is needed in order to push on as a club.
Watford owner Gino Pozzo is notorious for having little patience with his managers and he sacked Quique Flores at the end of last season despite a respectable season.
The Hornets, now under the guidance of Walter Mazzarri, are tenth in the Premier League after a reasonable season.
However, Pozzo feels that Mazzarri has underachieved and will therefore look to sack him at the end of the season, according to The Express.
Watford have lined up Claudio Ranieri as his replacement.
Ranieri watched on during Watford’s loss to Tottenham and he has already been sounded out for the role, following his sacking from Leicester earlier this season.
The Italian arguably masterminded one of the greatest shocks in Premier League history when he guided Leicester City to the title last year.
Pozzo is keen to bring Ranieri in and is growing frustrated with Mazzarri’s lack of communication with the players due to his poor English language skills.
Our landlord thinks that Mazzarri should be given more time but admits that Ranieri would be a good fit at Watford.
