Welcome injury boost for Leicester as title defence continues to flounder

Speaking to Leicester City’s official website, Claudio Ranieri has said that Kasper Schmeichel could be back for their game against Manchester City much to the relief to our Foxes here in the Transfer Tavern.

The Premier League champions have not had much to shout about this season with them seriously struggling to find what made them near unstoppable towards the end of last year.

Indeed, they have been anything but unstoppable this time around with seemingly every team they have come up against having a plan to stop them.

They now look in serious trouble and being the first Premier League title holders to be relegated the following season cannot be out of the question right now with them looking out of ideas.

Thankfully for the Italian manager one of his key players seems set to return in the very near future as Kasper Schmeichel could even be set to play against Manchester City this weekend.

As, whilst the manager thinks the game might be too soon, he wouldn’t put it past the spirit of the Danish international to see him make the squad. He said:

“For the me the possibility [to play against Manchester City] is no, but Kasper is a fighter. He could be [ready].”
