Levy should land this £18m-rated attacker to turn Tottenham into genuine Premier League title challengers – agreed?

Tottenham’s attack is strong, but the fans in the Transfer Tavern are eager for Mauricio Pochettino’s front-line to improve. Often, you could argue that they are too reliant on Harry Kane, and that’s something that needs to change if they want to consistently challenge at the top.

For that to happen, though, a player needs to be able to do a number of things. They need to be able create, they need to be able to score goals, and they need to be consistent. There are any number of players that Pochettino could target, but our landlord thinks that Thorgan Hazard – who is rated at £18 million by Transfer Markt – could be the perfect choice for the Lilywhites.

Brother of Chelsea star Eden, Thorgan Hazard has been building quite the reputation whilst in Germany with Borussia Monchengladbach. Like his brother, he plays as an attacking midfielder, but his performances this season have allowed him to break out of Eden’s shadow. He has picked up 7 goals and 4 assists in the Bundesliga this term,  with an impressive average rating of 7.2 (according to WhoScored.com).

A fast attacking midfielder, he excels when the ball is at his feet – and he is able to drift past players like they aren’t even there. Quick, technical, a hard worker – he is everything that Mauricio Pochettino wants in a player. Not to mention, at 24-years-old, there is also a lot of scope for improvement there too.

He’s still a developing player, but he’s proven this season that he has that game-changing ability to transform a performance like his brother – and if Tottenham land him, they’ll be back to their best at the top of the table in no time.
