Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern will want to be putting their FA Cup semi-final defeat quickly behind them and will want their side to compete once again next season.
The club has had a solid campaign, despite not being crowned winners of any competition they have been involved in, and the locals will have been pleased with some of their performances.
A number of punters in the Tavern will be looking ahead to the summer to see who Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy attempt to bring in, with reports suggesting one man being made a priority.
The Telegraph are claiming the Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha is at the top of that list and state that the Tottenham owner could be under pressure to bring him in. The Argentine manager wants the team to compete in all competitions, however, has lacked some quality signings in the past.
Pochettino’s track record with youth is outstanding and can not really be compared to anyone else at the moment, however, he knows that he needs to bring in players that can already make a difference without having to develop and nurture them from the beginning.
The fans in the Tavern will want Levy to bring in Pochettino’s targets this summer, especially with speculation surrounding the manager’s future, however, they will remain confident that they can attract the right players to the club.
