The Independent have some intriguing reports for Tottenham supporters in the Football Transfer Tavern today.
They claim that Paris Saint-Germain have joined Ligue 1 rivals Monaco in their pursuit of Tottenham defender Kyle Walker.
According to French reports, PSG are now looking at the England international as they seek a replacement for the injured Christophe Jallet and could move for the 23-year-old later this month.
Rivals Monaco have been linked with Walker for a while now, but with no sign of any official interest, they could be about to lose out to their Ligue 1 competitors.
It remains unknown if the former Sheffield United right back would consider a move to France, especially in a World Cup year, but it could prove very lucrative for the young defender with both French clubs able to beat Spurs in terms of wages.
Walker has been starting on a regular basis under new manager Tim Sherwood but he could see a big opportunity abroad as he seeks to play Champions League football, which seems unlikely at White Hart Lane.
Spurs will be concerned that these reports could unsettle Walker, who is under contract until 2019, but they may consider any substantial offers for the talented defensive player.
Would Spurs have any business selling Walker in the near future? Let us know your thoughts below.
