Likely new Man Utd boss targets two Real Madrid stars

Modric.jpgManchester United fans have assembled in the Transfer Tavern this evening to welcome in the weekend and they’re continuing their discussions by the bar of reports that surround the potential appointment of a new boss.

Jose Mourinho is the favourite to take charge at Old Trafford, should Louis Van Gaal be relieved of his duties, and Spanish outlet Sport says the Portuguese boss is targeting two stars from his former employers Real Madrid.

Those two players are said to be highly-rated winger Gareth Bale, a long-term target for Manchester United, and midfielder Luka Modric, both of whom have Premier League experience due to their time with Tottenham Hotspur.

With Manchester United set for a massive squad overhaul whatever the situation concerning their manager may be, the Red Devils have a long list of possible targets. However, this duo could be genuinely achievable.

Bale has failed to win over the Real Madrid supporters and Spanish media, whilst he could be offloaded to make room for Zinedine Zidane’s prime summer target Eden Hazard. Meanwhile, Modric faces a wealth of competition for his role in central midfield.

Our landlord believes this pair would be an exceptionally good double signing for Manchester United but he’s concerned any deal that Real Madrid approve will involve goalkeeper David De Gea coming the other way.

United fans, can these two players fix your problems? Let us know in the comments below!
