The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been impressed with their side’s rise under Jurgen Klopp…
Over the last decade or so, it has been a period of transition for the Reds. Rarely competing for trophies and often a peripheral thought in the Premier League, it has been a tough spell for fans of the club.
However, they look to be coming out of the end of that spell, and under Jurgen Klopp – their fortunes are turning, with Liverpool set to return to the Champions League next season.
One of the key components to Liverpool’s success, Giorginio Wijnaldum, has reflected on the season on Instagram following the conclusion of their final game of the season, describing the Reds’ return to the Champions League as being ‘back where they belong’.
Interestingly, never one to look to the past, Wijnaldum also revealed what his goal for next year is: to push for the Premier League title.

For a player that joined the club with relatively little fanfare over the summer, Georiginio Wjnaldum has been a real success. He was slow to start following his arrival, but as the season has gone on, he has really impressed.
If the Reds are to achieve his goal and reach the pinnacle of the Premier League next season, Jurgen Klopp will have to get the best out of his side. The signs, at present, are certainly good, though.
