Liverpool ace is Bundesliga giants’ plan B

suarez.jpgLiverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have been left reeling after news reported by The Telegraph suggested Bayern Munich have lined up a move for controversial striker Luis Suarez after becoming resigned to losing out on long-term target Robert Lewandowski to Manchester United.

United have emerged as favourites for Lewandowski after Borussia Dortmund became increasingly reluctant to sell to their fierce rivals and as a consequence the Bundesliga champions are preparing to put together an offer for the Liverpool man.

Suarez has been in outstanding form for Brendan Rodgers’ side this season with an impressive 30 goals in his 44 games and he is shortlisted for the PFA Player of the Year award that is awarded tonight but he will miss the last four games of the current season and the first six domestic matches next term.

The Reds have maintained that the 26-year-old will start the campaign at Anfield despite his ban but interest from Bayern and Pep Guardiola could be hard to resist for the Uruguayan striker while the fact the Suarez is represented by Pep’s brother Pere could make a possible transfer even easier.
