Mane has, of course, been out of action since suffering an injury in April – with a problem sustained against Everton ruling him out for the rest of the season. Having had surgery, it would appear as though Mane’s progress has been steady.
The Senegalese international has been a big miss for Liverpool since his injury, with his impact since moving from Southampton clear for all to see. He has bagged 13 goals in his debut campaign for the Reds, quickly emerging as a pacey, direct threat down the flanks under Jurgen Klopp.
Whilst he is not expected back until next season, the update will certainly give the Reds in the pub a boost – with a top-four finish still the dream target come the end of the season.
