Metro have a story that will make Liverpool fans increasingly uncertain here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they claim Pepe Reina has issued a half hearted commitment to the Reds at best.
The keeper has been linked with a move away this summer and it seems that Barcelona are keen on the stopper. Now the player has moved to calm the fears of a potential transfer by noting that: “My situation is clear. I have a three-year contract with Liverpool, although in football you can never tell.
“I’m very happy and satisfied at Liverpool, I feel valued and respected.
“In principle my plan is to continue with Liverpool. The best option for my family is for me to stay here.”
The keeper has been with Brendan Rodgers’ side since 2005 and has been an ever present in the team. Despite this fact, Liverpool are unsure over his future and have been linked to a host of keepers including Sunderland’s Simon Mignolet who is reported to be closing in on a move to Merseyside.
Will Liverpool replace Reina with Mignolet this summer? Rate this rumour below.
