Liverpool secured yet another victory yesterday as they overcame the challenges of Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
The Reds have been rampant so far this season as they continue to push towards securing their first ever Premier League trophy. Although, it appears as if Jurgen Klopp is still taking a look at potential transfers, as according to the Sun (print edition on Sunday September 2nd, page 59) (via HITC), Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Sunderland midfielder Luca Stephenson.
Liverpool have a agreed a deal to sign Sunderland youngster Luca Stephenson for just £500,000.
Interestingly, the 15-year-old is one of Sunderland’s brightest young prospects, and he has been compared to Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson.
Jurgen Klopp has always managed to work wonders with the youngsters at the club, so there’s no reason as to why Stephenson can’t become a future star under the German.
The Reds are in a promising position to kick on and secure an elusive Premier League trophy, with a star-studded squad at Jurgen Klopp’s disposal.
But, it appears as if the Liverpool boss is currently looking at bolstering the Reds’ youth system by bringing one of Sunderland’s brightest prospects to the club. And, if he’s anything like Jordan Henderson then the Merseyside club have got themselves a future star of the game.
