Metro have finally put a smile on the faces of Liverpool fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern despite them still reeling over the FIFA ban handed down to Luis Suarez.
The Uruguayan forward may be missing the next few months but one player they do look like being able to utilise is Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana with the England star set to have a medical at the club ahead of a potential move.
As one of our punters notes, the Reds have been linked with the England international for some time now and given he is no longer tied up with World Cup duty in Brazil, concluding their interest with a move seems to be the only thing left to do.
Lallana will cost around £25 million and the general consensus in the tavern seems to be that it is a lot of money, but we do live in a world where David Luiz costs double that, so Liverpool and Brendan Rodgers could well have gotten themselves a bargain!
The Reds have of course already bought Rickie Lambert and Emre Can to Anfield so far this summer.
Liverpool fans. Is this a good move ahead of challenging for the title and returning to the Champions League next season? Let us know your thoughts below.
