Our Liverpool and Arsenal fans here in the Transfer Tavern are both hoping that their respective sides are going to perform well this season in the Premier League.
Both the Gunners and the Reds will feel as though they can compete for the ultimate prize in this country this year, and now it remains to be seen how both get on with the season nearly upon us.
Indeed, both will be eager to see their new signings hit the ground running with many by the bar expecting the likes of Mo Salah and Alexandre Lacazette to be particularly impressive.
What actually happens, though, remains to be seen and whilst we wait for the campaign to get underway it appears that both have been handed a boost in their reported chase of Rafinha.
Indeed, according to Calciomercato, Juventus have pulled out of the race for the Barcelona man and now it is between the two Premier League sides to duke things out.
Who wins the battle, if either does, then, remains to be seen before the end of the window.
Rafinha is a decent player but isn’t likely to play once again this season at Barcelona thanks to the amount of talent that they’ve got this season in their squad.
He could, then, fancy a move but Arsenal and Liverpool had better be careful in going after him as he is still rather unproven at the very highest level.
