Arsenal and Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern fancy their chances heading into the summer after talkSPORT revealed that Luiz Adriano will leave Shakhtar Donetsk when his contract expires in December.
The Brazilian is confident he will not stay in Ukraine when his contract is up, giving the Reds and the Gunners the confidence that they can be his next destination.
Although his league form is nothing spectacular, with five goals from 15, his performances in the Champions League have been a complete contrast with nine from seven games.
He has really put himself in the shop window and Arsenal and Liverpool have been tipped as the favourites to land him.
He has remained loyal to the Ukrainian giants and is now the club’s top goal scorer but after countlessly being scouted by bigger clubs, it is time for the Brazilian move on.
“My plan is to respect the contract, which has not been renewed and will expire in December 2015,” he said.
“I am in a good moment of my career and we’ll do what will be best for me and for the club.
“With my contract set to expire and many good performances, it’ll be difficult to stay in Ukraine.”
