Arsenal and Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are disappointed on arrival after talkSPORT revealed that Pedro has no intentions of leaving Barcelona in the summer.
The Spaniard has had to play his part from the bench this season as Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar have become the most feared front line in Europe.
In the hunt for more first team action plenty of people tipped him to move to the Premier League, like his former teammate Alexis Sanchez.
The Gunners and the Reds are both eager to snap him up but it looks as though the winger is determined to stay at the Nou Camp.
Arsene Wenger will have fancied his chances as he would of hoped to capitalise on the fact he has a strong amount of Spainish players as well as Sanchez in his team already.
Barcelona’s sporting director, Ariedo Braida, showed faith in the 27-year-old and said the club plan to keep him in the summer.
“Pedro is, and will remain, a Barcelona player,” Braida told FC Inter News.
“He’s a very important player for us, and will not leave in the summer. He has a contract, and will remain at Camp Nou, even more so since we have a transfer ban.
“Could he leave in January? I don’t think so. He’ll definitely stay until January. I repeat: he’s an important player, and will stay at Barcelona.”
