Liverpool and Chelsea in the race for speedy winger

The Chelsea and Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have enjoyed an excellent start to their respective seasons so far…

Both sides look destined to challenge for Premier League glory this season, and whilst Chelsea are currently pipping their rivals in red – anything could happen over the coming weeks.

The sides are set to face off on the 31st of January in what many in the Tavern are calling an early title decider – but it would appear as though Antonio Conte and Jurgen Klopp may do battle off the field before then.

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool and Chelsea are both in the race for Genk winger Leon Bailey – with both sides reportedly ready to make a move this month.

The Daily Mail notes that Bailey is a man-in-demand, with a number of sides keen on the Jamaican – though Chelsea and Liverpool are both reportedly considering make a move imminently.

This is a move that has generated a lot of excitement in the Transfer Tavern. Leon Bailey has been touted as one of the finest young talents currently playing in Europe, and is renowned for his lightning speed and devastating technical play.

With both Chelsea and Liverpool in pursuit of the Premier League title, our landlord thinks that Bailey could be the sort of player to give them the technical edge that they so desperately need.
