Liverpool and Man United make Ligue 1 attacker prime-target

klopppuuFans of Manchester United and Liverpool had to be separated once again in the Transfer Tavern, after almost coming to blows as they debated fresh transfer news from the continent.

The Guardian states scouts from both Premier League giants were in attendance to watch Marseille’s 1-1 draw with Lyon on Sunday evening, as they assessed 20-year-old winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou.

Marseille’s young talent has enjoyed a meteoric rise since arriving at the Stade Velodrome from Nantes last summer for a fee of just £1m and the Ligue 1 giants can expect a hefty profit on the wide-man, who was also scouted by West Ham.

N’Koudou’s incredible tally of eight goals and four assists in all competition this season means he has contributed more goals to his side than any other player under the age of 21 in Europe’s top-five leagues, a tremendous statistic to boast.

Marseille are reluctant to cash-in this month but the player could be on the move again in the summer, where a fee of €20m would be enough to persuade the French side to sell.

Premier League clubs are likely to continue monitoring the attacker and our landlord believes Liverpool and United will go head-to-head for the player’s signature.

What move would be best for N’Koudou’s career? Let us know in the comments below!
