Liverpool and Man United target confirms transfer desire

Pato QPRRival fans in the Transfer Tavern often have to be separated and we had to do exactly that with Liverpool and Manchester United fans, as glasses were smashed and voices were raised as arguments concerning a striker began.

It all kicked off after they read quotes from Alexandre Pato in The Telegraphwith the Brazilian forward revealing he wants to play in the Premier League.

‘I would like to come to England because I think the championship is the No1 in the world. Now I’m ready for a new challenge. I want to write a new story in Europe, to make a new history.’

‘I want to come to win the championship and play again in the Champions League. I have dreams again. I want to create this new story, a good new story.’

Rated at around £15m, a number of Premier League sides are interested in the 26-year-old Brazilian; including Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool.

Pato, formerly of AC Milan, struggled to make the positive impression in Europe having been rated as the next big-talent from South America, with it believed it would be the star to lead La Selecao into more international success.

However, it hasn’t panned out that way and Pato’s struggles have coincided with a period where Brazil haven’t had the central-striking star in their ranks that they require.
