Liverpool and Man United to miss-out in race for exceptional striker

LewandowskiLiverpool and Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been dealt a crushing blow today, after a dream target of there’s is reported to snub a move to the Premier League in 2016.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have been heavily linked with Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, whilst Manchester United have also been reported to be holding interest in the sensational Polish international.

However, any chances of a mega-deal to bring the established forward to the Premier League seem to have been wiped out today, with Marca stating Real Madrid are actively pursuing a swoop for the Bayern star.

Lewandowski is seen as the ideal candidate to shake-up Real’s attacking line, with question marks on the future of Karim Benzema after sensational developments that link him to the blackmail scandal against compatriot Mathieu Valbuena.

Whilst Los Blancos currently support their French international, the situation could easily change as more details emerge and if the French judiciary system identifies him as guilty of wrongdoing.
