He’s a man in-demand, and the fans in the Transfer Tavern are expecting this saga to continue all summer long…
According to the Telegraph, both Liverpool and Man Utd are keen on a move for breakout Sunderland star Jordan Pickford, but any move for the shot-stopper won’t be easy. It is said that a host of clubs are monitoring the situation, including the likes of Arsenal, Everton, Manchester City and West Ham – so any deal is likely to come at a significant cost for each club.
Certainly, Pickford is a player worth fighting over – with the Englishman proving his quality under David Moyes this season. Whilst the Black Cats have, for the most part, struggled in the English top flight, the goalkeeper has proven his worth – seemingly attracting the interest of a host of Premier League giants.
Of course, some clubs will likely be more keen than others – and Man Utd’s situation may be a particularly interesting one to keep an eye on. With David De Gea linked with a move to Real Madrid, our landlord thinks that Pickford might be a good replacement for the Spaniard, should he depart the club this summer.
The Sunderland fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that he might stay this year…
