Liverpool and Tottenham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are looking to poach Stoke’s top talent after the Daily Express revealed they are interested in Steven N’Zonzi.
The midfielder’s new talks over a new deal have currently stalled and this could see him move on to one of the clubs in the top six.
With the Potters finishing ninth, punters have said they cannot progress unless they spend a significant amount of money, and the Frenchman may feel he must move on to further his career.
Stoke boss, Mark Hughes, is keen to tie him down on a deal but after those talks have stalled, he could be there for the taking for either Spurs or the Reds.
On Saturday Stoke chief executive Tony Scholes said: “If his football’s anything to go by, then it absolutely is reason to be positive we can get something done.
“He had a magnificent season last year – in fact he’s had three very good seasons with us, even if perhaps the last was his best.
“He’s playing with a smile on his face. He looks very happy and we would very much like to renew his contract.”
He certainly has a physical presence and has become accustomed to the Premier League and punters believe he is ready for the step up into Europe.
