The signings come off the field of play, as Zeljko Buvac and Peter Krawietz join Liverpool’s coaching staff amid a backroom shake-up that saw Brendan Rodgers’ allies Gary McAllister and Sean O’Driscoll relieved of their duties.
Buvac is Klopp’s most trusted ally and the pair have a long-history together, being team-mates during their playing career at Mainz before working alongside each other managing the side; and Klopp then brought him in as part of his Borussia Dortmund regime.
Krawietz, a highly-rated video analyst, has no playing experience but is another number in Klopp’s corner- with the trio set to work immediately on fixing a broken Reds outfit.
Our Liverpool punters don’t know of these two but they are pleased the Reds hierarchy is supporting the news boss in any way they can, ensuring that he is surrounded by trusted allies that can improve the club’s fortunes.
