Liverpool and Arsenal fans have been handed a huge boost in the Football Transfer Tavern as talkSPORT reveal that Juventus’ Sebastian Giovinco has ruled out a move to Fiorentina.
This means there is more chance he will move to the Premier League with his contract in Turin set to expire at the end of the 2014/15 season.
The Italian international is not expected to sign a new deal with the Bianconeri and it is thought that the Gunners and the Reds are leading the chase with Tottenham also keeping tabs on the situation.
Giovinco’s agent Andrea D’Amico revealed the news to the media as he ruled out any possibility of his client leaving Turin for another Serie A club.
“There is absolutely no truth in that [move to Fiorentina], it’s fantasy football. At this moment there is no contact with Fiorentina,” added D’Amico.
“At this moment everything is standing still, and as the player himself already confirmed, I doubt there is a chance that he may move in January.
“At this moment there is no news on this topic [of his contract].
“The Bianconeri have not contacted us about this subject. There may be developments in the next few months, but of course I cannot know that now.”
