One alteration the majority of fans want to see is a new goalkeeper brought in to replace Simon Mignolet, who’s struggled for form at Anfield, so our punters are pleased to see Klopp seems to have similar plans.
Spanish outlet AS Diario state that Liverpool are eyeing Real Betis’ highly-rated goalkeeper Antonio Adan, who is a graduate of Real Madrid’s esteemed youth set-up.
The 28-year-old couldn’t quite make his mark at the Santiago Bernabeu but has come into his own with Real Betis, who have endured a mixed campaign in their return to the top-flight of Spanish football.
Whilst the Spaniards do not want to sell, Liverpool will be attracted to a reported release clause in the goalkeeper’s contract that stands at just £6m. However, Marca state the Reds face competition from Sam Allardyce’s Sunderland.
The Black Cats are themselves looking for a new goalkeeper after Costel Pantilimon left to join Watford in January, although our landlord doesn’t feel the relegation-threatened side can compete with Liverpool in the market.
