Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are excited by the possibility of a stellar signing being made this summer, amidst questions being asked by their loveable manager.
RMZ state Jurgen Klopp has been asking Brazilian ace Roberto Firmino about his former Hoffenheim team-mate Kevin Volland, with the German boss keen on bringing the Bundesliga star to English football.
Volland has struck 36 goals in 138 appearances for Hoffenheim and, at the age of just 23, should continue to improve in the future and he fits Klopp’s style of play perfectly, whilst he should be affordable for the Reds.
With questions surrounding the future of strikers Daniel Sturridge and Christian Benteke at Anfield, it’s unsurprising to see Klopp eyeing potential replacements but he may face competition from Borussia Monchengladbach for the services of the £11.9m-rated forward.
Our landlord believes Volland would be a solid addition but cannot be the only forward signing, as he feels a more prolific striker is required.
Is Volland the striker Liverpool need? Let us know in the comments below!
