Metro have more than entertained us here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they claim that Brendan Rodgers is keeping coy over the possibility of signing Chelsea winger Victor Moses on loan.
The former Wigan Athletic player has been linked with a move away from Chelsea since the arrival of not only Jose Mourinho but a host of other players and has simply not featured under the new manager thus far.
Rodgers is keen to take the player on loan and spoke about the potential deal, noting: “We have got targets. There is speculation around many names and while the window is open we will continue to look to improve the squad.
“We will hopefully come out the back of it with a stronger group.
“The group I have at the moment has been doing brilliantly and I have every faith, even if we didn’t get any more in, that these players will do really well this season.
“But the idea is to strengthen it that little bit more and hopefully we can do that.”
Liverpool of course have been involved in a summer long battle to keep Luis Suarez and are still hoping a late bid will not come in from Real Madrid before the transfer window closes.
Will Rodgers net Moses? Surely the deal makes sense for both parties involved? Let us know your thoughts below.
