Liverpool boss expects troubled star to remain at the club

sterlingBBC Sport have all our punters, not just Liverpool fans, looking up with huge interest here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they seem to think that Brendan Rodgers thinks Raheem Sterling will be remaining at the club.

The Reds boss has claimed that the club will be keeping Sterling for the next couple of years and despite the trouble between the club and Sterling’s agent, they will treat him as if nothing had happened.

Rodgers was asked about the future of the winger and claimed: ‘Raheem has two years left on his deal and I expect him to see that two years through.’

We think that Liverpool will try and hold the player to his contract next season but eventually, they are going to have to listen to offers or risk losing him on a free – and that is not something we can see them doing.

Liverpool fans. Do you think that Raheem Sterling will stay or is he set to be shipped out this summer? Let us know your thoughts below.
