Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are mulling over a reported signing who has history at Anfield, as they debate whether this asset would provide a welcome boost to their squad.
Turkish outlet AMK state Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is ready to swoop on one of his former Borussia Dortmund players, as he seeks to bring Nuri Sahin back to Liverpool- where the player previously had an unsuccessful loan spell.
The 27-year-old Turkish international spent the 2012/13 season on-loan at Liverpool from Real Madrid, where he struggled to impress, and ending up leaving the Spanish giants the following summer to return to a Klopp-led Borussia Dortmund.
Klopp remains a big fan of the experienced international and is keen on the possibility of a reunion, as he prepares to keep tabs on the midfielder during his exploits for Turkey at the European Championships- which begin on Friday.
The Liverpool boss has been incredibly active in the early stages of the transfer window so far, securing deals for Marko Grujic, Joel Matip and Lorius Karius, but our landlord feels they need further additions if they are to compete next season.
