Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern were understandably concerned when they heard their boss had fallen out with a fan favourite amongst the squad, though they’re thankful to see such reports quelled by the man himself.
The Express quotes Jurgen Klopp as dismissing speculation he had a fall-out with young winger Jordon Ibe earlier in the season, after a bizarre action on social media from the 20-year-old.
With 36 appearances this season, Ibe has certainly stepped-up to fill the void left by Raheem Sterling last summer but amidst rumours of a fall-out, speculation suggested he could be the latest star to walk this summer.
However, following yesterday’s 2-1 victory over Bournemouth, Klopp denied anything of the sort.
“I heard from somewhere that Jordon has some problems with me or something? Absolutely not. Only a few young players can come up, and sometimes they are in the squad, sometimes not.”
“He’s still a brilliant, big, big talent which is very good for English football. He did well today with the pass for the first goal, and the cross for the second. I was very happy.”
The landlord is thankful for this news, as he believes Ibe can become a star at Anfield if he continues with his rise.
