Liverpool punters in the Football Transfer Tavern are rather satisfied with their season so far as the Reds sit pretty in second as the Premier League campaign hots up.
However a new report today has left some Reds supporters in the tavern worried about losing star man Luis Suarez in January.
Paul Collins from Mail Online has announced that Real Madrid are planning a January move for Suarez and are ready to pay around £45 million to land their main transfer target.
The Uruguuy international made it clear that he wanted to move to the Bernabeu during the summer but the transfer failed to happen after the La Liga side decided to sign Gareth Bale from Tottenham in a world record £86.5 million transfer.
Liverpool have reportedly set an asking price of £55 million and that was a price that Madrid were not willing to pay in the summer but they could be prepared to move again for the former Ajax man as Carlo Ancelotti looks to replace under fire French striker Karim Benzema at the club.
Suarez still wants to join the Spanish giants but appears happy to be playing for the Reds and the Anfield faithful can expect him to find the net in the coming weeks after a brace on his return to the fold against Sunderland.
Should Liverpool cash in on the striker in January? Or should the club remain ambitious and keep hold of the Uruguayan? Let us know your thoughts below.
