The representatives of Liverpool forward Philippe Coutinho have been in touch with European giants Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain over a summer transfer, according to reports in The Mirror, via Le 10 Sport.
Both clubs are of the belief that they can lure the Brazilian away from Anfield this summer, in news which is sure to upset the Liverpool faithful who can regularly be found enjoying a tipple in the Transfer Tavern.
The report claims that French champions PSG will show their hand first by bidding £25 million for the player, although Liverpool are likely to demand much higher for one of their prized performers.
One Liverpool fan here in the Transfer Tavern is getting ready to tuck into his burger and a pint meal deal and he thinks that Coutinho would be better served staying at Liverpool, claiming that the Brazilian is quality on his day but is far too inconsistent to play regularly for one of Europe’s top clubs.
Liverpool fans, would you welcome the departure of Coutinho? How big of a blow would it be to see him leave?
