Liverpool will be hoping to challenge for the Premier League title next season after a year of progress last term saw the club make the Champions League final.

Despite losing out to Real Madrid, big money has already been spent by the Reds this summer, and manager Jurgen Klopp will be confident of pushing on further next term.

Our Reds fans here in the Tavern have been having plenty of chat this week about potential further new additions, and our landlord thinks the summer spending spree is not yet quite over for the Anfield club.

One player he thinks fits into the club and would be a superb addition is Real Madrid midfielder Isco, who despite having an excellent season at the Bernabeu, is not always a regular starter under Zinedine Zidane.

Valued at some £67.5m by Transfermarkt, the Spaniard has proved his class over the years, and despite seeing Spain exit the World Cup in the second round, he was one of the more impressive performers for Fernando Hierro's men.

Isco is a quality playmaker, and can fit in the middle of the park or as a number ten, and is the sort of player who creates chances from nothing, while also being able to chip in with his fair share of goals, as the six he has hit this season shows, as well as 10 for his country.

Liverpool are looking to add genuine world class talents to their ranks, and signing someone like Isco would send a massive message to the rest of the league.

Reds fans, what do you make of Isco? Good signing? Let us know!
