Liverpool have gone above and beyond in the current campaign as they continue to work towards securing the Premier League title and silverware in Europe.

The Reds will face up against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night in the first leg of their Champions League round of 32 tie at Anfield, which will be sure to produce a few fireworks.

Although, one thing that must still play on Jurgen Klopp's mind is finding a replacement for Philippe Coutinho, who still hasn't been replaced since moving to Spain in January of last year.

One player who could step up to the mark is Hakim Ziyech, who was reportedly of interest to Liverpool last year, according to Calciomercato (via talkSport).

Indeed, the Moroccan international was one of the shining lights for Ajax recently against Real Madrid as he put in a world-class performance. He also has 15 goals and 12 assists to his name at this moment in time, so it's clear to see that he knows exactly how to produce outstanding numbers, and he scored nine and assisted 18 last season.

Ziyech is a very similar player to Coutinho as he looks to make use of his pace, skill and dribbling ability to work himself into promising areas, and then he has the quality to pick the final pass and knows how to find the back of the net from pretty much any range.

Of course, finding a replacement for Coutinho has been a real issue over the past year, but Liverpool could finally replace the Brazilian if they move for the 25-year-old Ajax star in the summer.
