Liverpool are looking to finish the season with a flurry and secure their spot in the top four under Jurgen Klopp, and they will be confident of doing so, with both Chelsea and Arsenal showing signs of waning this term.
The Reds are piggybacking onto a stunning season from Mo Salah, who looks like firing them to the Champions League and is delivering a season which may well be PFA Player of the Year worthy, although a certain Kevin De Bruyne may have something to say about that.
Here in the Tavern, the Reds fans have been having a good chat with our landlord this week talking about the summer window, and looking at the incomings and outgoings which might take place at Anfield.
There’s a general consensus that some players will be on their way, and one such player who is at big risk of being moved on by Klopp is left-back Alberto Moreno, who has lost his place in the side once more after some poor early season form.
The Spaniard has never really got up to speed in the Premier League in terms of his performances on a consistent basis, and despite being a threat going forward, some of his defensive showings have left a lot to be desired to say the least.
A move back to his homeland and to La Liga would come as no surprise, and Moreno is definitely one who is up for the chop if Klopp decides it’s time to trim his squad come the summer.
Liverpool fans, what do you think? Time for Moreno to leave? Let us know in the comments!
