Our punters cannot wait to hear the latest gossip from Metro here in the Football Transfer Tavern.
When we tell them that it centres around Liverpool and Chelsea, they are even more keen to learn the news.
The publication have claimed that the two clubs could well be set to battle it out for 22-year-old Hoffenheim star, Roberto Firmino, who has caught the eye of a fair few clubs this season.
The Brazilian star has been prolific, and has managed to net an impressive 13 goals in 24 appearances this season thus far – and as one of our punters note, could be the perfect replacement for someone like Frank Lampard.
Both Chelsea and Liverpool are looking for that extra bit of something in the middle of the park, and despite Steven Gerrard’s man of the match performance against Manchester United, Brendan Rodgers knows this cannot go on for ever, and is beginning to look at other options.
Firmino is a playmaker by trade – and as our punters note, Chelsea have a fair few of those – but he is able to work as a box to box midfielder as well, and at the tender age of 22 has plenty of developing left to do.
Could Firmino be persuaded to move to Chelsea or Liverpool this summer? Let us know your thoughts below.
