Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are hopeful of a busy summer at the end of the season and they’ve been handed a boost in the chase for one high-profile target.
Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport state that Roma have accepted they must sell players to balance their books and Liverpool target Leandro Paredes is likely to be offloaded to accord to these requirements.
21-year-old Paredes has made just ten appearances for the Rome outfit since joining the club in 2014 but he’s caught the eye with superb performances whilst on-loan to fellow Serie A side Empoli this term.
Roma’s financial situation has meant that Paredes, along with Seydou Doumbia and Umar Sadiq, will be on the market this summer– and it’s good news to the Premier League sides chasing the signatures of these assets.
Liverpool have already completed deals for Marko Grujic and Schalke defender Joel Matip, both of whom will join the Reds in the close season, with Jurgen Klopp looking keen to complete his business early and avoid the late drama of the transfer window.
