Liverpool fans are more exhausted than most in the Football Transfer Tavern after a crazy summer transfer window.
And now Liverpool’s official website has confirmed the club’s SEVENTH summer signing has been completed, with Spanish full back Javi Manquillo joining on a two-year loan deal from Atletico Madrid.
The 20-year-old was previously a target for Arsenal, but has now joined Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Emre Can, Lazar Markovic, Dejan Lovren and Divock Origi in signing for the Reds this summer.
Liverpool have the option to buy former Spanish Under-20 international Manquillo at the end of his loan spell for a fee believed to be in the region of £5 million.
The Spaniard was spotted on Merseyside earlier this week before undergoing a medical, with the deal announced earlier today.
Meanwhile, the Reds also hope to tie up a deal for another Spanish full back in the form of Sevilla’s Alberto Moreno.
The Reds have been chasing the Spanish international all summer and reports suggest a fee of £16 million is close to being agreed.
