Liverpool contemplate January moves as problems pile up for Klopp

For the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern, January looks set to be a very important month…

At the start of the season, very few in the Transfer Tavern were expecting Liverpool to mount a title challenge – but Klopp has never been a manager to follow convention.

After his heroics in the Bundesliga with Dortmund, Klopp has continued to excel at Liverpool – having turned the Reds from Europa League strugglers into Premier League contenders in the space of a year.

However, whilst things might seem rosy at Anfield – problems are beginning to pile up for Klopp.

A selection of injury issues, most notably to Coutinho, has left the German boss fearing the worst ahead of a busy festive period – and as a result, he could reportedly look to opt-in to the transfer market in the new year.

According to the Daily Mail, when questioned on his injury concerns and potential signings, Klopp said: “The more injuries we have, the more you think about it”.

He continued: “…you need to be prepared. If we need someone, we will try everything we can to do it”.

Whilst Klopp is seemingly refusing to commit to new signings, it appears clear that should he suffer any more injury problems – he will not hesitate to make a move.

The Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have already started drawing up their list of potential transfer targets – and it would seem that they are an optimistic bunch…

Our landlord thinks that Liverpool could struggle to get in any top players in January, though Jurgen Klopp’s influence could prove to be a game changer.
