Liverpool managed to secure a vital three points against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday night, which helped extend their lead at the top of the table.
The Reds currently find themselves in a commanding position in the race for the Premier League title after witnessing Manchester City’s loss against Crystal Palace yesterday. And, to make things even better, Jurgen Klopp provided a big injury boost recently, as according to Liverpool’s official website, Naby Keita’s injury isn’t too serious.
Indeed, the midfielder was forced off shortly before the hour mark at Molineux having picked up a couple of knocks.
“Did you see it back, the first two situations? Was it a penalty or not, because he had a proper cut on the foot and everyone said ‘diver!’, but you don’t get a cut from a dive, I would say,”
“Then he had another one on his ribs, so that’s obviously [why] it didn’t work out. But it should be good. Two things which are a bit painful but I don’t think will be a problem for him.”
It comes as a big boost that the injuries Keita picked up ‘won’t be a problem for him’, as the Reds face Manchester City soon and have a busy schedule ahead of them.
The energetic midfielder was very impressive against Wolverhampton Wanderers prior to his injury, so he will have a big play to part in the rest of the campaign.
