Liverpool courting Hull City defender ahead of summer transfer window

Barclays Premier League giants Liverpool are set to kick off their summer recruitment drive by securing the £8 million signing of Hull City defender Andrew Robertson, according to a report in The Daily Mail.

The Reds have deployed veteran Premier League player James Milner as a makeshift left-back during the current campaign and this news appears to suggest that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is keen to recruit a more natural full-back ahead of next season.

Liverpool look on course to qualify for next season’s Champions League and it will be vital that Klopp has cover in every department on the pitch, with the Reds looking short on depth at times over the past season or so.

A couple of Liverpool supporters have spotted this news in the paper this morning and they are delighted with the idea of Robertson signing for the club in the summer, stating that the Reds need a left-back and the £8 million price-tag makes him a risk worth taking.

Liverpool fans, would you welcome the signing of Robertson? Who else should the club try and sign in the summer? Let us know in the comments below!!!
