Liverpool enter the race for 17-year-old starlet, other Premier League clubs interested with £10M bids being readied

Reece OxfordPremier League outfit Liverpool have joined several other top flight clubs in the race to sign highly-rated West Ham United teenager Reece Oxford, The Mirror is reporting.

The Reds tried to sign the 17-year-old last summer in an audacious move and could return during this pre-season with a bid in the region of £10 million.

Oxford has reportedly rejected the Hammers’ offer of a new contract and with Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal monitoring the situation a move could be on the cards, with Liverpool now throwing their hat into the ring.

It is unknown at this stage what position Oxford will play in the long-term with the player capable of playing in the middle of either defence or midfield but one thing that is certain is the youngster’s ability.

One Liverpool fan here in the Transfer Tavern is sat munching on a burger from the bar menu and he thinks Oxford is a ridiculously good talent, stating that the Reds should do all they can to secure his services this summer.

A West Ham United fan overhears his comments whilst playing pool however and he thinks £10 million wouldn’t even buy Oxford’s right boot!

Liverpool fans, would you welcome Oxford at the club? Is he good enough to slot straight into your team next season?
