Liverpool expressing interest in talented £30m striker, face vast competition

Michy BatshuayiMichy BatshuayiLiverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are excited to see their club’s name as the latest to be linked with a quality European striker, who they’re desperate to see bang in goals at Anfield.

The Daily Mirror says Liverpool are the latest Premier League side to express an interest in Marseille’s ferocious Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi, who’s likely to earn himself a big move in the summer window.

22-year-old Batshuayi is in high-demand after establishing a staggering goalscoring record for club and country this season, with his efforts totalling 24 goals in 52 appearances for Marseille and his international side.

Liverpool want to reconfigure their strike force after seeing last season’s £32.5m man Christian Benteke struggle to impress and Batshuayi is seen as an ideal recruit, although the Reds will face competition from West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur for his signature.

The Reds do have other targets, like Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but Batshuayi is seen as a more likely recruit.

Liverpool fans, could Batshuayi become a star at Anfield or will he just be another striking flop? Let us know in the comments below!
