Another Liverpool rumour to reach us hear at the Football Transfer Tavern today, comes from Ed Malyon of the Daily Mirror concerning a potential Reds bid for a La Liga star.
It is no secret that Brendan Rodgers is desperate to add more attacking flair to his team, and Valencia’s Sofiane Feghouli fits the bill after Alexis Sanchez’ agent ruled out a move to Anfield for the Barcelona star.
Feghouli would represent a cheaper alternative to Sanchez, with the Algerian able to operate on either side of Rodgers preferred 4-3-3 system, although it is understood that right wing is his preferred choice.
According to SuperDeporte, Liverpool have made contact with the wingers representatives, just as Valencia were preparing a new deal. His current contract ends in 2014, so a January deal may suit Valencia who have been struggling with a debt crisis.
